Google images is pretty much a staple in our everyday lives and apparently, we have Jennifer Lopez to thank for its creation. In a recent essay on Project Syndicate, Google’s executive chairman Eric Schmidt revealed that JLo's iconic Versace gown at the 2000 Grammy Awards sparked the invention of the popular search tool. Schmidt wrote, “At the time, [the dress] was the most popular search query we had ever seen. But we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted: J-Lo wearing that dress. Google Image Search was born.”
How cool is that?
