The Amber Alert News Roundup: Katy Perry to Perform at Super Bowl 49, Pharrell Williams & Cara Delevinge Star in Chanel Film & Nasty Gal Opens Flagship Store

Looks like Katy Perry will be headlining the Super Bowl 49 halftime show this coming February with confirmation from both the NFL and NBC yesterday.  Katy also tweeted that she was already working on her performance which will include bacon, innovative glitter, fire-breathing sharks, and, of course, Kitty Purries.  There was also a hint at a special guest...hmm.  I'm definitely looking forward to this!  Super Bowl 49 is set to air February 1. Pharell Williams and Cara Delevinge star in Karl Lagerfeld's latest short film, 'Reincarnation' which sets the stage for the upcoming Métiers d’art collection in Salzburg next week.  The film recreates a  pivotal moment in Gabrielle Chanel’s life: while vacationing at an Austrian resort in 1954, the designer becomes enamored by the jacket worn by the hotel’s elevator operator, portrayed by Pharrell.  That style, with contrasting trim and pockets, would go on to become the Chanel jacket, a fashion icon that has endured and whose identifiable features Chanel protects vigorously. The Nasty Gal empire continues to grow and has now opened it's first physical store, on Melrose Avenue no less.  The 2,500-square-foot flagship store opened on November 21 with much fanfare including a ribbon cutting ceremony and celeb filled bash attended by everyone from Charlize Theron to Azealia Banks.
