The Amber Alert News Roundup: Christian Louboutin Launches Nail Polish Collection, 'Fashion Rocks' Returns, Britney Spears Delves into Intimates & Hermès Names New Creative Director

Christian Louboutin is known for his killer heels, but it looks like he plans to take over the beauty industry as well.  With his new collection of nail lacquers, Louboutin ventures into uncharted territory much to the delight of his legions of fans.  Louboutin's signature red, aptly titled 'Rouge Louboutin,' went on sale today with the remaining 30 shades available throughout the U.S. on August 31.  Buyer beware: these edgy, spiked-tipped bottles definitely don't come cheap.  At $50 a pop they even beat out Tom Ford for most expensive nail polish!  (WWD)

After a six year hiatus, 'Fashion Rocks' returns to television this September.  Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Usher and Duran Duran (just to name a few) join forces during New York Fashion Week to celebrate the inextricable link between fashion and music.  If you're interested in attending the show, which airs live from Barclays Center, tickets go on sale August 1. Britney Spears announced via twitter yesterday that her new intimates collection is slated to drop this September.  According to the website, The Intimate Britney Spears will first launch in the U.S. and then later in Europe and Canada.  Fans can also sign up to receive emails for exclusive access to the collection, a behind the scenes experience and updates via the site. Earlier this week, Hermès announced the departure of Christophe Lemaire as creative director and already we know his successor.  Although former Céline and The Row designer Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski has been installed at the creative helm of Hermès, we'll be getting one last collection out of Lemaire this Fall during Paris Fashion Week.
