Designer Spotlight is a new segment on the blog where different brands will be featured and highlighted on Fridays! It's a pleasure to have NYC based brand, Warby Parker as the first feature.
The benefits of shopping with Warby Parker are twofold - because they design all their frames in-house, you're able to get stylish prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses without the usual retail markups, and for every pair sold, Warby Parker distributes a pair to someone in need through their non-profit partners.
For their Summer 2014 collection, Warby Parker has designed a collection of bookish silhouettes in surf-inspired hues, classic styles in beach shack shades and lots more suited for the dog days ahead. Check it out here.
Warby Parker has also worked with supermodel Karlie Kloss to design a capsule collection of metal framed sunglasses with a retro feel. The three piece collection, which just dropped last month, also includes a charity element: each sale will benefit Edible Schoolyard NYC, a nonprofit that provides kitchens and gardens to low-income public schools. Now that's dope! Shop the Karlie Kloss x Warby Parker capsule collection here.
