Style Alert: Top 5 Trends for Spring 2014

Now that we've all sprung forward, Spring is officially right around the corner and after scouring the runways, AmberAlert123 gives you your top 5 trends of the season!

1) Pretty in Pink - Pastels are always huge for Spring, but one sweet color stood out amongst the rest on this season's runways.....pink!  When going for this trend, look for more blush tones and icy versions of the color versus brighter neons or the deeper shades we usually see.

2) The Button Up - You can't go wrong with a classic button-up collared blouse and this season's masculine trend proves just that!  Whether rocking it with shorts, a skirt or even bib overalls, this is the shirt that goes with EVERYTHING.  If you're daring enough, try this trend by itself!  An ankle boot or even a flat brogue paired with an oxford shirt dress will definitely separate the men from....er....the girls...?

3) Sports Center - the sporty trend is nothing new, but this season we're seeing a super glam take on everything from baseball shorts, varsity jackets, sweatshirts and trackpants.  With the use of luxe materials like silk, technical mesh and leather, we ended up with some pretty alluring athleticwear.  Wear them separate or all together!

4) Metallics - Think more high shine lamé than subdued mattes for this trend!  Metallic shades of gold, silver and bronze were everywhere on the runways for Spring and are shaping up to be one of the hottest trends of the season.  If you don't want to do a full metallic look, opt for a skirt or top paired with basic black or white.

5) Crop Tops - Looks like this super popular trend from Summer and Fall 2013 is here to stay!  Some may hate it, but I love a good crop top and all the different ways to wear it.  Whether going super sporty or ultra feminine, be sure to pair your crop tops with something highwaisted to really accentuate your curves!

As always don't think you have to break the bank to stay on trend each season.  While I've used all high-end runway looks as examples, these trends will be available everywhere from Zara to BCBG to Target so you can definitely find pieces at every price point.  Happy shopping!
