Red Carpet Fashion: 2013 Soul Train Music Awards

The 2013 Soul Train Music Awards occurred in Vegas over the weekend, bringing out the who's who of R&B music, Black film and television.  Let's get right into these fashions!

Jennifer Hudson is still werking her pixie cut!  She opted for a beaded Balmain Spring 2012 dress with studded ankle boots.  I love it!

Check out the rest of the looks after the break.

Melinda Williams proves that black and white never goes out of style in this deep-v Haus of Falenci'ago gown.

Toni Braxton looked fab in a sheer nude number by Amato Couture.  I'm so happy she's back to her signature short 'do.

Ashanti also worked a sheer look.  Her beaded tule gown is by Reeve.  This look was not so flattering from behind.

I love how Janelle Monae continues to reinvent black and white!  For the event she rocked an Alexandre Vauthier ensemble with Jimmy Choo sandals and DVF clutch.  Get into those draped front trousers!

Faith Evans looked like a super hot mama in a printed Hervé Léger dress and Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out sandals.

I'm really into leather so there's no surprise that I love Chrisette Michele's baby doll look by Alice + Olivia (get it on SALE here) and Christian Louboutin Daffodile Mary Jane pumps.

I really hate that Michelle Williams never dresses her age.  She opted for a beaded Leila Shams dress and a pair of grandma heels.  Make-up and hair are FLAWLESS I must say!

This might be the best Vivica Fox has looked in years!  She wowed on the red carpet in a Roberto Cavalli gown and statement jewels by Barclays.

Charli Baltmore looked totally fab!  She rocked a Blamain mini with studded Christian Louboutin pumps.  I'm digging the blonde hair.

K. Michelle opted for a high collared Michael Costello fishtail gown.

Sevyn Streeter looked super cute in this deep-v lace frock by Laquan Smith.

Lil Mama needs to stick to her more glam looks.  This feathered boot and matching jacket combo is not the move.  I green hair is, dare I say it, boring me.
