Tonight on HBO, Jay Z debuted a 10-minute short film for 'Picasso Baby' directed by Mark Romanek. The short film documents a 6 hour performance piece Jay Z did at an art gallery in New York on July 10th. Check it out below.
Speaking with the Huffington Post, Romanek explains how the idea for the film, which was inspired by Marina Abramovic’s 'Artist is Present' performance installation and art piece, came together and states he and Jay wanted to do something "more genuine, more spontaneous and more alive."
What did you think about the piece?
